Still travelling to Riften in Skyrim. It's a long way with lots of twisty paths up and down mountains which makes it seem even longer.
I managed to make the necessary progress on that second quest that was on the way (but that was a tough guy to beat. On my first attempt he killed me with one blow!
I gave him a few shouts the next time around. And the next time. And the next time. etc.) and after all that I noticed on the map that I was quite close to my Forgotten Windmill. I'd ironically forgotten about that.
So I popped over...
...and managed to pick the Master level lock this time!
And I then continued on into some areas I've never been before and proceeded to enjoy the new sights. The falls at Darkwater Pass were particularly impressive.
I think I'd seen them from a distance at night but it was much better close up in daytime. Onwards I rode and also found Mzulft (not to be confused with Mzuleft in Morrowind. These Dwemer names never stop confusing me.

I'll save that particular exploration for another time because I am supposed to be going to Riften!
I'll get there eventually. Promise.
