I presume by the animated one you mean Del Toro's film as opposed to the millions of other animated versions of the story. I liked it although I still prefer the Disney version (the original not the remake from last year).

Yep, that's the one. Deadman seems to be everywhere at the moment.
I liked the artwork and style of all the little models but the animation did seem a little jerky at times which is one of my pet peeves with stop motion.
I may watch the little making-of... feature sometime later and may even stay awake through it.

Some of those little models are actually enormous because some shots had to be scaled around the cricket.

I just watched the second of "Philomena Cunk's" history lessons. Life in her medieval castle was quite entertaining :giggle:

Ah yes, that too. The Bibble was first published some 2000 years before Pump up the jam, which is about a golden hare or something. :dumb: And something something.

(propulsive rock music playing)

I'm two episodes in to Lidia Poet and getting a bit annoyed at yet another show with an anachronistic soundtrack.
I also had to switch to the Italian audio cos the English dub was awful. But it's quite entertaining now, and even if the plots are a bit simple the charisma of the main character keeps it going.

I kind of felt the anachronistic music worked fairly well in this instance, seeing as she breaks the norms and the music seemed to be about similar things... (But I also remember thinking at some point that someone should endeavor to make a show (history or fantasy) where the music is actually what would have been played in that time/culture etc and with the music instruments actually available in that time or world or whatnot... I'm sure it has been done, but it doesn't seem very common.)
