Well, if I thought it totally sucked I wouldn't keep watching. But I don't think it's great and yet there are like 18 seasons? Or 16.... Can't recall. I'm glad they quickly left the "every episode has a damsel in distress that Dean will kiss at the end" though. On the other hand it does seem to get splattier by the season. :dry:

I have now watched the first episode of House Of The Dragon. :woohoo:

I don't think it was quite as good as the first ever episode of GoT and some of the scenes did feel a bit familiar but there was more than enough to get me interested in that world again.

I still feel that they seem to have exaggerated nudity and violence because they think that's what GoT fans want and I also feel that the princess is a bit too sullen all the time. But other than that, I enjoy it too.

I was expecting it to be more gruesome and graphic from the way the internet has been discussing it. Perhaps the jousting bits were a bit unnecessary but the rest didn't seem too out of place.

But I think the princess is the best thing about the show. Her weird, ethereal look combined with that distant, aloofness is strangely compelling.
