Didn't like the first Hobbit film, so didn't bother with the second, and therefore had no interest in the third. Very much a wasted opportunity as far as I'm concerned. Where the Return of the King had too many endings, The Hobbit had too many beginnings.

 That's because all the stories begin in the Bilbo book and end in the LOTR books... :woohoo:

The book has very little to do with the Lord of the Rings, it was a separate entity with a vague connection through some characters and the ring macguffin. It definitely wasn't a 15 hour prologue to the Fellowship of the Ring :pinch:

Perhaps not, but the Hobbit movies are... sort of...

you two read too much, you should do as I do, have no real knowledge of the book and go see the movie, worked for The Hobbit, stupid Harry Potter, stupid Twilight.

y'see it works.

But you see, you have to know why Legolas, who's supposedly one of the good guys, is so very intolerant to dwarves in the first LOTR movie... (Because since he IS a good guy he can't just be generally prejudiced like all the other elves and dwarves...)

Hmm... I wonder if we'll see a prequel explaining the same about Gimli?

Btw, does any of you know the time involved in these stories? In the Hobbit movies Bilbo is reasonably young, and in the LOTR movies he's 111 years old. Yet in the Hobbit movies Aragorn is already born and already has his nickname (which suggests he's a grown ranger). So when Aragorn appears in the LOTR movies he's like 80 or 90 years old? He sure didn't look it... (Or young Bilbo is a lot older than I think...)

Nah, nothing works for Twilight.
And the Harry Potter books are rather amusing. At least I think so :)

I can't remember his exact age, but yes, he is somewhere around that.

EDIT: Google is great... Aragorn was 90 when he became King and lived to 210... Wow, he sure looked good for his age...
