And yes, I can't remember how to take those photomode-style screenshots, so this will have to do.
I think it was a special mod that did that and you had to launch it separately in the background. Or something.
I'll work it out again eventually.
And hopefully I'll work out the plot again too. I really could have done with one of those "Previously..." catchups that you get on TV shows.
Right, there's Templars and Apostates. And Apostates are mages. And we've set up The Inquisition once more. And I think I might have to pick a side soon. And erm... something.
I know there was a dragon round here that absolutely slaughtered me (and everyone with me) so I'd better avoid that. Wherever it was. Oh, and there was one particular Rift I had to avoid because of that flying demon man.
I'll remember it eventually. I will. I will.

EDIT: And I also had a little go on Mass Effect too and...
I last played Mass Effect before I used a controller so back then I didn't know that it doesn't even have support for controllers.
Apparently there's a mod that fixes that.

Finally killed the spacey crime boss without dying.
Almost did it a couple of times just before but he managed to kill me just before I got the final shot in.
It helps if you keep the rest of your team alive too. Thankfully they're not properly dead, they just conveniently lay down in a dead way until you either win or die yourself. Wish there was a way to revive them during the fight like in Dragon Age. (EDIT: Apparently you can. Either I just don't understand it or my character hasn't got that skill yet or... something else. )

No matter. I successfully got back in to playing the game and succeeded in a mission.
I did have to switch my team about a bit, first by ditching Tali and her little pistols in favour of Wrex with his favourite shotgun and then after killing the baddie I had to got back to the ship in orbit to bring Tali back to do the hacking so I could loot the weapon storage units.

And I have downloaded that mod to play with a controller. But installing it is a bit of a commitment as there's quite a lot to backup in case it goes wrong or is rubbish. I had a look to see if Vortex would do it for me but Mass Effect isn't listed in the supported games.
Should I risk doing it manually?

After a bit of research I need to level up this skill to be able to revive my "dead" squad members.

 

Shep needs two more points.
And thanks to nexusmods I've also worked out how access a freecam photo mode using just the ini files.
But I probably won't use that controller mod.

I am enjoying it again and I took out another crime boss before making a questionable decision.
Who wants to be the good guy anyway?

You can be Jane Shepard instead if you want.

Back when I started the game nearly five years ago I did initially intend to play as both at the same time (like I sometimes do with these type of games) and I do still have an early "Jane" savegame but there's a lot of dialogue in the story and I didn't want to sit through all the long conversations twice.
