But I'm not a fan of the mine area in Mars either. I got very fed up of repeatedly going up and down those stairs to talk with Trevor.

Wait... I do vaguely remember the bug thingies at the beginning somewhere

And then there are other times when it doesn't give you any route at all and just says, No Direct Path.
In fact there was an area like that in the way to that Eklund mine where I was stuck in a massive cavern with loads of blue crystals and no discernible route.

Just spent far too long failing at one of the combat shrines which has so many baddies on screen at once that I can't even see where I am any more.
Even that swinging spirit hammer that I've just paid for isn't helping.

Why, oh why, did I pick up those harvested organs?
...
Wasn't worth the greedy excitement that made me pick them up in the first place.
Should I?
I never learn, do I?
Also I now have four plushies.
And I've heard about another method of placing them in a way that they don't disappear or fly off so I may (may) try again to arrange them somewhere on the ship. Maybe. With a hard save beforehand so that I don't lose them this time.

Using the Decorate function of the scanner does indeed lock things into place in a non-physics way to stop you from booting them around as you walk past but sometimes they do seem to have moved a little when you return. Both Xenosnuggle and Cuddleosaur had sunk halfway into the cabinet I'd placed them on, but Parsecpooch seemed a little more stable and consistent in his place.
As for Galacticat... well one other problem with the Decorate option is that you can only place things in their default position and pose, with the ability to rotate on the z axis. For Galacticat this means laying on his back and, with the disabled physics, his tail just sticks straight down which results in him intersecting whatever you're placing him on. So you just get the intersection warning without actually being able to put him anywhere.
At least they didn't disappear.
They've gone back in my inventory for now.

And now that I'm being an undercover pirate I apparently have an enormous bounty.
I hope I don't have to actually pay that, do I? Like.. with my own credits?
Edit:
Apparently I do have to pay with my own credits.
This doesn't make much sense. I walk into the place and watch one pirate kill another without any issues and then more pirates charge at me and demand I pay for all my kills.
I chose the option to not pay thinking it would lead to some kind of intimidating banter or persuasion but no- it was straight into the fight and it's a rather tough fight seeing as they all seemed to be invincible like the bounty-collecting guards in ESO.
I really don't know how this quest is gonna work.

Yes, but it is well worth the effortThe ship design committee quest is less than exciting.

I've now worked three boring office jobs in this game and this one is the dullest so far as I go to another meeting to offer feedback to the team in a David Brent way.
Three jobs and I still can't afford my pirate bounty.
There's a cost-of-living crisis in space.
