Any an all misspellings are henceforth blamed on the cats.
"Shouldn't leave things laying around to trip over"
*chuckles as Brenuin grumbles about a dead guard outside Kynareth's temple*
(No, I don't know why he was dead. There was also a dead labourer at the other side of town. Maybe a vampire moved in. Maybe I just have too many NPCs...)

The second one is available for a few pennies too and that's definitely worth it if you don't have it. The original probably hasn't aged quite as well.
There's an interesting documentary about it on YouTube that's also been released to go along with everything else.
Edit: and I don't mean Doom. That sneaked in before I posted.

I suspected it was the second half life, though I can't remember if there was a doom 2. There probably was
I never played any of them, as far as I recall. Actually I do have a vague memory of something.... blocky 3d-ish. But that would probably be even longer ago than 30 years. I think. I also remember a racing game with "very cool 3D cars" (i.e. extremely simple, but indeed 3D). Can't recall the name, though, but sis and I liked it.

There were plenty of wireframe 3D games going back to the early 80s, that Star Wars one sticks in my mind, but the first solid 3D game I recall was Driller, which was a bit bland to play even at the time but was amazing to see. There were a few more after that that used the same Freescape system but the best of the early 3D games was The Sentinel. That was awesome and was a really original way to use the limited technology of the time.
The only 3D car game I remember from that era was Stunt Car Racer, which was good fun but very angular.
