...despite the fact that I've just spent ages locking down the whole place and sealing every door. There was pretty much no point to all of that if you're just gonna let it out again straight away.

Because they are humans. I'd bet there are people on board that space station that still believe the Earth is flat and that gravity isn't real.

You do realise they're not actually humans? And maybe the stupid person is the one who keeps playing a game that's set up to get him killed?

I just watched that documentary about Half Life. I'm amazed the game ever got made, they all sound like they had no idea what they were doing, and just randomly threw the game together and hoped for the best

My game today is full of oddities... Though I guess that's part of what's enjoyable. Most of the time.

For instance I came upon one of those old orcs with a death wish and while we were chatting he was killed by a couple of mudcrabs. Not sure it was the heroic death he dreamed of but he didn't fight back, so I guess he was content...

I also had another questline break when I was killed by Madanach and returned to the Talos temple (apparently I hadn't saved since...) and the guards refused to arrest me again...

And just now I watched a patrol of imperials walk right past Windhelm. They killed a guard right at the stables and then told me to keep an eye out for stormcloak spies and then they kept going. But it seemed rather risky patrolling right outside the enemy capital...

In ESO the oddities are often just other people.
Yesterday someone was slaughtering most of the population of Daggerfall...

 

There were even more bodies there when I came back a few moments later.

Oh, and I acquired the houseguest....

 

He's not quite as interesting as M'aiq but he does like to chat and walk about if you let him. He also seemed to pick up and play with my cat at one point. Which was a little awkward seeing as he's a cat too.

The mudcrabs have been vicious today. Not just that orc - I saw them kill a sabre cat and a bear... Admittedly the sabre cat was also attacked by three slaughterfish and all of them plus several of the mudcrabs died, but still. They almost got me too, while I was looting the place.
