:O

It's almost like when Timothy Spall's character John Chapel (an actor turned police consultant, in Death Valley) said he'd been offered the role of Peter Pettigrew in Harry Potter but turned it down...

Speaking of Roach-like nonsense...
In cowboy-land after collecting some debts I saw a big herd of bison and went off to hunt one. I killed it! (after many, many arrows.) but the hunt went on for so long that when I whistled for my horse I was told that it's apparently out of range. :eyeroll:
So I had to carry this heavy thing for miles...

I kept whistling every few steps in an exhausted, out-of-breath way until finally...

I climb on and then get the message that my horse is very dirty and apparently that's a bad thing.
Better get the brush out.

Well it makes a nice change from the "Not enough VRAM message."

I haven't read Blood Meridian, but based on what I have heard I imagine it plays out exactly like your post

"You are running low on text in this chapter. Close all other books and reduce your settings."
-Blood Meridian.

Does it also have a subplot about defeating random women at dominoes?

I don't think there are any women in the book, let alone any with pizzas

Looking at Steam's Survival/Crafting Fest demos I seem to have several of them already  But now downloading the Soulmask demo. I think that was the game that reminded me of my Game Character Concept art challenge entry from an eternity ago... Or maybe I am confusing things as always :dumb:

I tried playing Survival: Fountain of Youth (the demo) today. Seems OK - like pretty much all survival crafting games you're on a deserted island and have to live off of crabs and coconuts. And somehow you can make caviar from starfish and sea urchins. Seems easier to just get it from fish like you do in the real world? Also scorpion poison is used as a cure for poisoning... I guess that's loosely based on the idea of antidotes but I'm not sure all it takes is a campfire and some banana leaves in the real world. Such things aside, I thought the worst stuff - at least before getting used to them - was the controls. Like, to build something you press E to "build" it, then E again to place it, then space to add the materials for building it and then space again for the actual construction/finalisation. Just seems an unnecessary amount of clicks to me. But I'll probably play it some more, soon. :)
