This is all I remember.

Oh look, and my response is what I had read about it (I remembered reading some reviews and that they weren't very favourable but not what they actually said)

I guess maybe some day I'll have a go at the old version again. Maybe. If I can bother installing it. That one was "only" 70 GB or so I think? Well, at least I have it in my epic library.

Now WHERE did I put my Skyrim Tools folder??? Is it the one now called Skyrim Stuff in another folder called the same? Some tools seem to be there But why would I rename the folder and why do I think I remember seeing it somewhere and why is there a "Skyrim Backup" folder that's entirely empty??? I knew there was a reason I called my Skyrim folder "Skyrim mess" but still

And why is there a bunch of stuff already in my steam folders regarding Skyrim when I hadn't installed it there (again) yet??? Stoopid cloud sync. I haven't a clue what's what anymore.

I played a bit of Skyrim the other day too. First time for a long while. Took a few moments to work out what I was supposed to be doing.
The vampire woman is with me and I seem to have the Skeleton Key now.

I'd forgotten how satisfying Skyrim is having not played it for so long. Just walked back to my house and kids in Whiterun and it was lovely. Feels like home.
I'm also harvesting blood from various elves after encountering that tentacle eye thingie. I can't just go around killing any elves though. I guess the Thalmor come in useful sometimes. Don't even have to be sneaky, I can provoke them to start it in public. "Hey, there, you pointy eared Nazi. Did you know I can worship anyone I want?"

I also haven't played ESO for a while either (although not as long a gap, I just don't seem quite as motivated now after they ditched the Daily Endeavours) so while I was in an Elder Scrolls mood I clicked on that too and...

Most of that update was probably stuff you'd have to pay for to use anyway.

No, it's the new Season structure instead of the old way of delivering updates by Chapters.
It seems to be mostly free but it's a big overhaul and is probably designed to make you feel like you're missing out if you're not playing enough.


I'll probably have a look on GeForceNow before I restart that massive download. That will have to be done in the background sometime when I'm painting.

Since I'm suddenly playing games I haven't touched for a while I thought I'd also have a go on Dragon Age too.

Yay, now I can sign in to play the game.

"Your credentials have expired."

Now I have to reset my password.
And type in a 2FA code.
And come up with a new password.
And sign in again.

But now I can play.

"Dragon Age is not installed."
Yes, it is!

So now I have to pretend I'm installing it so that it can find/verify the files.

My savegame had better still be there after all this.

I'd have given up and never played again...
