For SE at least I think there's a mod that let's you dial down the survival bits to your liking. Pretty sure I got it at some point but... mess...

Thought I'd try and do that massive ESO update while doing a bit of painting.
Not my best idea.
ArtRage kept freezing mid-brushstroke. Then it locked up and crashed. (Thankfully I knew it was coming and saved! )
Then the installer stopped responding for a bit. ArtRage wouldn't load in again.
Then I managed to pause the installer to let ArtRage run just to make sure it had saved correctly.
It had. Phew.
All that seems like a lifetime ago yet I've still got another 75GB to go.

Oh, Val, I think I need you to remind me. I actually looked it up but don't feel any wiser. What exactly is the difference between Skyrim SE and AE again? I think maybe there's no difference at all anymore, but I'm not sure. And I was confused when Steam gave me the option to install both and I chose to install AE, but it also installed SE from the cloud, I think, and it seems it's SE I'm actually playing... Steam has two folders with largely the same content but only one play option which seems like a waste of space and nothing more

Anyway Wrye Bash is definitely going by what I have in the SE folder. I think. Definitely maybe. At least it's where CK seems to get it's stuff.

Today I think I have fixed a couple of things that had issues previously. Well, one thing had issues (I think it was missing BFSflags or whatsit, I'm not sure since it was a while since I worked on these things) and one thing was new. And I found why some markers seemed connected to things they shouldn't be although I still have one item to locate or figure out why it's connected...

My new character is almost ready to buy Breezehome - she just needs to rob a few more bandits... and I decided this was a "great" opportunity to use my Breezehome mod. Which I never finished. So I am now working on that, in the hope that I'll able to play more, soon...

I didn't think you had AE. That's the more expensive one.
AE has all the Creation Club content whereas SE just has a few of them like Saints And Seducers and ...erm.. some other stuff.

Played a bit of Fallout 4 and Dogmeat was playing with his teddy bear again.

 

Meanwhile I wish the robot that I programmed to guard me would stop shouting "Exterminate!" behind my back.
And it didn't do very well with that guarding cos I still had to kill all the Feral Ghouls myself.

I then saw something from a distance that almost looked like one of those Skyrim giants. A radioactive one, obviously.
After a sneaky quicksave I went to investigate and the end result was entirely expected.
I reloaded and avoided.

I got AE as a gift, on Steam. But like I said, the play button still says SE... And I can't recall any additional content either.

Well AE and SE are still the same game. Just check out the Creation Club menu. Everything should be available instead of just the four things that come with SE.

I think the CC content is available for purchase, not just for free... Not that I looked.

Edit: Just tried - one needs an account with Bethesda and I can't recall if I ever made one. Probably not, but who knows. Can't be bothered.  

Oh great what have I done now? I haven't activated the mod I'm working on and I'm sure I haven't moved any files, but I started Skyrim and the only thing my character could do was draw her weapon and then try to punch someone with it. She couldn't walk, jump, open inventory or even quit the game Hopefully that's all some small temporary glitch? *fingers crossed and tries again*
