It seems like I can't use the Trading Posts without upgrading and verifying my account.

Also, I forgot, I'm not in Kessex Hills anymore. Well, not with that character anyway. I was back at the forest beaches rescuing some people from more Krait and now I'm off to do something about a Mirror.
My other Thief chap is still in that region. I did a little switcheroo to see him in action and finished off those bandits that killed me last time (which really was ages ago. :dry)

And I remember the trading post being off limits to new accounts, but not that it was off limits to all free accounts. Though I guess it's to prevent farming stuff on free accounts and making money for a main account or something like that.

No, I'm a sylvari character and I've just rescued Tegwen and a couple of other people and they've all just told me about a mirror of some kind and I must follow them.

No it's not January yet. Not the Chinese new year either.
But in Tamriel..

Yes, I've been playing Skyrim for so long that the in-game calendar has reached the year of 4E202. 
Normally I would pop in to The Bannered Mare with all my friends (and maybe my child?) to celebrate but I'm currently many miles away from there in Solitude on ...erm... business.
So instead  it'll have to be drinks at The Winking Skeever surrounded by suspicious staring people that I don't really know yet....
 

Hopefully Elenwen won't turn up to the party as that could be a little awkward.

I don't remember a sylvari mirror... but then again I don't remember much in general.
(And the norn thing I thought I remembered was obviously something entirely different...)

Stole a cart and two horses.

I tamed one of the bigger cats after rescuing it from some nasty soldiers who kept it in a cage.

 

Now don't be causing trouble in the big city, my feline friend.
That means no scaring the camels or eating the kids... or driving horses off the side of a bridge.

OK, let's get rid of the New Year party clothes, let's leave behind that lovely outfit from those snobbish Elf sisters, let's even take off my precious Ebony armour and my Northgirl Fox vest to keep out the cold.
It's time to go into maximum sneak mode with the FULL Thieves Guild outfit.
Now follow that Argonian!

 

And that WAS a challenging quest, especially if you were trying not to just kill everyone. And I wasn't!
The sneaking was made a little more tricky by an unexpected goat that kept getting in the way and "Detecting" me, causing me to panic before realising that it wasn't the guards.
But after a few reloads I got through it with only a few necessary bandit kills as I closed in on my target and it was a good spoilery-type payoff at the end.
When I heard The Name I got quite excited.
But... spoilers of course.
