First Geralt's companion would stay behind running into my back and now someone else has joined the party and they're both running away from me whilst telling me to keep up...

 

Don't they know that I'm over-encumbered?
And I'm sure that won't hinder me in battle.

This whole quest has been a bit of a mess. I didn't want to do it yet but it insists upon itself whenever you get to certain locations, it then splits into several parts with no clear story structure, the multiple trails overlap causing all kinds of confusion, quest markers randomly appear then disappear and then the final fight is broken up by several cut scenes and after each one Geralt automatically switches his sword to the useless steel one that does no damage.
I thought I was just being rubbish until I worked out that last bit.
But at least it's finished now and I can return to my chosen plan of talking to a blacksmith/armoured somewhere round here.

I was hoping to get the final few items done for the founder's fortune mod with the bathrooms, but Gandalf has other ideas. So I started a game of banished and finally finally finally there was a trade ship on the way and it'll dock any. second. now. and the game crashed.

Stoopid crashing.

After reclaiming some disk space by losing that football game I have installed WatchDogs and spent last evening tweaking the settings to get the best performance.
I then tried to stop a crime but ended up being chased by the police.
I guess I shouldn't try to stop crime with more shooting.

I do wish the driving was better in that game. The cars don't seem to have enough mass and the camera is a little too twitchy when cornering. I wonder if there are any mods to fix it.

Edit: Also I was quite surprised that WatchDogs is only 15GB. I thought it was closer to 30. So that means I still have room to install something else too!

The Steed Stone is now my favourite stone in Skyrim.
Once activated it boosts your carry weight by "A Lot" and makes your current armour weightless too!
I'm no longer in danger of being constantly over-encumbered!

So I can comfortably and confidently carry all those important things in my inventory like ...erm...

It's a long story. The master is on vacation... so I'm told.

Just caught sight of it out of the corner of my eye whilst wondering off to Helgen and beyond for another story.
Should I get closer to it?

Probably not...

Nope.
Well, not here anyway. And being the new Arch Mage it apparently is my responsibility to deal with these ...erm... things.
However I did die later trying to get through Helgen. I forgot how awkward it is to get through the ruins and I ended up getting ambushed by a bandit gang while my helpful companions were stuck on the other side of the wall. I could hear them shouting their threatening, intimidating encouragement while a high level Marauder bashed me around.
