My googling attempts to understand a game I've never played suggested that if they can fly you can then ride them as a companion/pet.
Like this...

You can ride pets that are big enough. And most tameable pets are the non flying variety. But any that fly low to the ground can apparently be tamed. Never mind that I haven't seen that option for any of them.

Wish I'd decided to try and clear up all the Vampyr side quests a little earlier instead of right at the end of the game when all the streets are populated with level 33 Chaplains and those damn Ascalon chaps who sometimes spawn right next to the place where I spawn when I'm dead.

I don't think I'm gonna get them all done before I go to that final battle (and apparently you can't do them afterwards either) but I'll see how it goes.

I do have a bit of ammo and tested out the shotgun for a bit but...

That's a looooong health bar.

Had another try later on last night but that bossy health bar is still very long. And much to my annoyance, the main tactic/skill that I've been developing throughout the game is completely useless against this particular baddie. Most of my XP has been spent maxing out the bite damage to be used after an attack with my maximum stun cudgel and now I'm up against an enemy that can't be stunned at all.
And I'm now out of serums too.
And I'm miles away from the nearest hideout.

So now the dilemma is should I trail all the way back through various districts (and their numerous high level Priwen) to get to a hideout where I can maybe upgrade another weapon with blood drawing power for the necessary Autophage or do I stay here to keep fighting/dying with my pathetically underdeveloped Coagulate power. Thankfully Abyss is working a bit despite the Shadow Resistance I'm encountering but the cooldown period is frustratingly long.
I think it is possible to win with my current efforts but it does require an absurd amount of patience.

Also during my foolish and premature thoughts about finishing this game I had a quick check to see how much space I'd get back when I uninstall and I was a little surprised to see that it's under 15GB!
For some reason I was sure it was over 30 but I guess not.
So it seems like even if I do finish it I'll still probably have to play the 55GB Fallen Order on GFN for the time being.

Ijust found a planet with an animal best described as part stegosaurus, part butterfly. And they do fly... or at least hover....
