no... beetles can't be fed... fish, beetles and most flying things can't. And if I can't feed them I can't claim them as pets either. Pets go into some sort of magic slot so you always can call on them.

The next bit of Vampyr plot has clunked into place and I'm now into the final chapter.
And I've bought some more bullets.

I don't really do much sailing in Witcher 3 and as a result I've never been in a boat long enough to realise that they take damage if you're not careful...

I'm also still peeping at the cheaper stuff in the last days of the Steam Sale and noticed that Shadow Of Mordor costs only four coins.

I have now warped 75 times (or 76 counting the current warp in progress)
Most of those jumps are to find a nice planet to have a nice little base on.

78 or 79 warps later I am on a green planet with blue water and blue skies... Not any trees as far as I can tell, and mostly green-brown fauna. I dunno why they haven't tried to make any furry looking animals? Anyway, It seemed to have nice weather and very few sentinels so I figured this is as good as it gets, beetles or no beetles. But.... Superheated rainstorm approaching.

Found another potential planet.
Nice weather, no sentinels, plenty of animals... and the trees are orange/brown while the grass is.... magenta. *sigh* It hurts my eyes

But I did adopt a new pet. Too bad we can only have a maximum of 6. I'm at four... The new one seems to be a mix of chicken, mouse and beetle... And it talks

EDIT: I did some reading up on pets and apparently they all "talk" through some sort of neural techie transmitter... 
AND you're supposed to be able to tame those beetles!!! I just haven't found anyone saying how - I don't seem to get the feed option when I get close to them....

Do the beetles fly?
