I think I'm doing things in the wrong order again. But I've got through the mazey mine and solved that ... thing. Should have found the pickaxe first though.

I used squared brackets first so it thought I wanted to put a real spoiler tag in and half the post disappeared.

So basically, you had one of those "accidents" while thinking.

Thinking causes far too many accidents. It should be banned.

I do get stuck on the simplest puzzles sometimes.
But I worked it out just before quitting, so onwards to the next clue.

I have now finished The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter so, as suspected, it was a short one obviously.
Was a bit over five hours but you could probably do it in under three if you actually know what you're doing. The landscapes continued to be lovely to walk through and the story was nicely done. Sadly the puzzles/mysteries seemed to get simpler as you went along, the last two in particular were pretty linear. Still worth playing though.

meanwhile I spent all day reading many and long political documents, to be able to give my opinion on some suggested changes.
