I've already got Salt and sanctuary, it's been installed on my computer since I was given it for my birthday waiting for me to get around to playing it.  I wonder if you can refund gifted games on Steam... 

Aaaaand the Epic servers are down.
Must remember to claim them later when everything calms down.

After repeated attempts I've managed to claim the first two.... which I already have anyway. But "Shadow..." is still rather elusive. It seems like the whole world is claiming it ahead of me.

But it's going to be there all week. I just need to be patient.
And not forgetful.

EDIT: And now we're back to not being able to login again so I can't even play any of my Epic games.

And now I've finally claimed them all.
I can relax at last.


But I haven't been relaxing really.
No, I've been playing Trials far too long, racing against people on some really tricky tracks that are infuriatingly difficult.
I eventually won and then after spending some time customizing my bike I went off and had a go one one of the easier but longer tracks and... AND... (wait for it)
I was actually ahead of the world record for a whole minute and a half!
The record is about 5min 20 and I ended up taking over seven minutes after crashing out several times later on but I've never been ahead of the world record before! Ever. Not even for a fraction of a second. When racing against them they're usually gone completely out of sight within five seconds like Roadrunner disappearing into the distance, so it was very exciting to have one well behind me for such a long time.

Annoyingly someone else broke the world record last night and I can't get ahead of them at all.
I can stay close enough to keep them on screen for 3 minutes but my far-fetched fantasy of breaking a record is now long gone.
I did do better on the run and managed to do a 5:24 without any crashes but that only ranked me at about 35.

So I went away and found a Star Wars themed track where you get buzzed by Tie Fighters whilst racing your speeder bike on Endor.

 

So you choose this time to tell me that you're scared of spiders?? 

 

And he quit on me mid-quest!
I thought he was gonna be a good follower too.
Oh well, I'll just stick to my usual gang then.

I've been finding more glass too. So as well as that shield which I rarely use I now have some greeny armour and a big glass sword...

 

And I've enchanted that particular weapon. I've been doing a bit of enchanting recently after hoarding a few souls in a morally-questionable way.
But let's not talk too much about that, let's just concentrate on the nice weapons and armour I have. Alas, they're a bit too heavy to go with everything else I'm carrying so they'll have to stay in the saddlebags of one of my horses while I continue to wear and use my Ebony kit.
Oh, and even without those extra weapons... I'm over-encumbered again.
And it's the fault of those damn heads that I'm still juggling with. But at least now I may be able to go back home and put them on my shelf to scare the kiddies.
