1st? or 8001st?

I was the only one racing so if I don't finish first in that kind of race then I really am bad at this game.
But the time is under 49.3 which means the platinum medal.

I'm still about 7 seconds off the the best players (I have no idea how they make those jumps and checkpoint 3 and 7. ) but I can give it a rest and play something else for a bit now.
On all the other tracks I'm miles away from the platinum times but I was so close to this one that I was becoming obsessed.

Edit: And in terms of the global leaderboards I've yet to get under 10,000. My best times are ranked about 11-16 thousand and my worst ones are about 80 thousand.

Yes, it did.
Surprisingly it wasn't as tough as I'd feared but I then got lost while trying to backtrack my steps to the other doorway.
I thought there'd be another shortcut path to take you back there so I foolishly wasn't memorizing my route and there's no map to help.
I'm sure I'll find it eventually.

Just make sure to get out before the boss respawns...

Yep, Surtr looks very cool but he's not much of a threat.

Why are you on first name basis with all the bosses form all the games?

If you are going to kill someone you should at least know their name.

Did you fight Surtr first or second?
The Internet says he's not as hard as the first boss but he's the first one I got to.
Perhaps I should have taken the other door first. You know, the one I can't find now.

I did him second on my first play through. I actually didn't notice the other gate initially so I just picked the door I saw at the time.
