And after catching it I was about 11,000th on the leaderboard. Top 3%.

Meanwhile in Hellblade I died a lot before realising that the right mouse button isn't block.
Apparently I should have been hitting Control instead.
Oh well, that's another finger I need to find.

Just found out how to race "against" the world record ghosts in Trials.

Sometimes I can stay ahead of them for a fraction of a second.
And then they're gone!
It's like when Roadrunner teases Wile E Coyote before disappearing.

So I picked someone at 99 instead to see what it takes to get into the top 100. And I can keep them in sight for... most of the race.
But I did take about a second off my time for one track and am now in the top 1.9% on that leaderboard.

No, giving up is one of the hardest things in Trials.

I only planned on playing it for 20 mins to try and get a particular squirrel but ended up spending two and a half hours chasing down my times.
But I did get my first platinum medal.

Platinum!

Platinum? Yay!
Diamond? Not yet.

I seem to be at least 10 seconds away from those medals and I have no idea where I'm losing all that time.

Oh and did I mention that I uninstalled the megamod, and installed a bunch of separate mods that were included in the megamod and which I liked. Then I tried to play Banished and it turned out that pretty much all of the mods I had spent an hour or two finding, downloading, extracting etc, were conflicting with the mods I already had. (Most of them were by two different people, so basically each person's mods conflicted with the mods of the other person.) Very annoying since they all coexisted happily in the megamod.

Too much Trials Rising again.

I did try to paint another tree but after yet another failure a voice in my head said, "On your bike!" once more.
No more platinum but I did reach that squirrel I failed to get yesterday.
And now my frustrated efforts at chasing records has left me with a cramped up hand and arm. Ouch.

I feel like a stuck record with these posts but Trials should probably be banned. It's just soooooo addictive!
Just wasted another two hours repeatedly crashing over and over again on a single track in an attempt to trim my time down to a platinum. Finally I managed to nail the tricky parts, maintained my momentum, was over half a second faster... and then spun out on the final easy ramp with the finish in sight.
