I guess I can agree with that statement. And I agree the chimp was kind of forced. I guess it was meant to explain why that guy thought he could tame an alien. But I feel it was entirely unnecessary, as was that former co-actor of his who showed up to the show....

Watching Venom tonight. It has it's funny moments, though I can't help but think about all the cars they've smashed. I hope that was CGI rather than loads of money...

It also has it's stupid moments:
"I know everything about you. I am in your head"
and also (a few minutes later)
"Who's Anne?"
(If you knew everything about Eddie you'd know Anne was his ex, wouldn't you?)

Edit: Aw it was old enough to have Stan Lee in it.

Venom is weird. I expected a lot more from it and I remember I was waiting for the story to start and then it just ended.
I think I also tried to watch the sequel but fell asleep through most of it.

But there was a story. Crazy scientist goes too far and eventually pays for it. Very original.



I think it was mostly a kablooey type movie...

The moral of this story is... don't have expectations about story.

The moral of any film-watching: Don't have expectations. Period.

Venom is trash. Venom: Let there be Carnage is also trash. I have a suspicion that the new one is more trash  Then again, I have never had any interest in Venom in the comics either, mostly because he is trash

EDIT - And 1970 seems like a random arbitrary date. I'm curious to know where it came from (I don't mean how the calendar came to be  I mean why 1970 specifically)

i think I just went by how you said something happened in that cottage in 1967. Also I thought Dawn of the Dead was from the 60-ies, not 70-ies.

Any after 1980, then?
