I don't mind the MI movies for the most part. I think Rogue Nation is probably my favourite but that first one is also one I remember fondly. The most recent one was the weakest so I don't have high hopes for this follow up story.

I find Simon Pegg incredibly annoying in pretty much anything post Shawn of the Dead.

I know I've seen at least two of the MI films but I can't recall much beyond them being somewhat convoluted, I think.

I have ended up watching my "science" channel, which means wendigos, yetis and ufos. You gotta love the logic of these shows.
"Let's search for ufo sightings near volcanos"
*gets results*
"Wow, look at that. There's obviously a link between ufos and volcanos"

Also, lake drops 20 cm but lets not ask any scientists or researchers of any kind if they can explain. No let's just try to figure it out like 10 year olds making up our own theories. Oh hey look at this mysterious artifact, let's ask a local. Local explains the mysterious artifact is part of scientic equipment to warn of volcanic eruptions because yes they're in a volcanic lake but since they didn't bother with facts first they had no clue... this is what lead them to ufos and volcanoes. Never mind worrying about having messed with the warning system.

I can never quite understand if the people behind these shows actually think they're being scientific or if it's meant to be pure entertainment? It just seems to end up a bunch of desinformation to me...

Last night I started that greatly-over-hyped Day Of The Jackal remake even though I don't like Eddie Redmayne and I already think it'll probably have too many episodes.

If they cut out all the scenes where characters stare into the distance while a pop song plays then it'd be over by now. At times it's like listening to a compilation album. Now That's What I Call Assassin Music 5!
Despite that the plot still manages to be intriguing and occasionally tense so I shouldn't complain. And some of Eddie Redmayne's "disguises" are unintentionally amusing. :giggle:

Abstract, discordant Radiohead (not the good ones from the 90s) followed by big-voiced James Bond-style ballads by people I've never heard of.
