I'm surprised they managed to keep Shatner quiet for so long.
Or maybe it's all just one of his famous "pauses". :)

It's Sam Witwer in Digital prosthetics.

I'm watching Spellbound. It has a purple hamster that keeps stealing bling bling and hiding it in it's cheeks. :giggle:

Oh. I thought it was you in a purple suit. :dumb:

Edit: Now the hamster is a fat old man and Bolinar (previously fat old man) is a hamster :giggle:
Though I did like the "real" purple hamster better....

Ok, I've just been watching all those little Roddenberry shorts on YouTube and I don't quite know what to make of them.
As the obvious comments over there say, it is indeed "Fascinating", but what exactly is the end goal other than the tech demo? Is there some kind of bigger project in the works? :hmm:

Today I am watching a (British) mini-series called mid-winter of the Spirit which is about a female exorcist, I think. She hasn't actually done any exorcising yet. She's mostly chain smoking and having nervous break-downs while people around her are solving the "mystery". (It's a horror story with some sort of satanist cult murders...)

It's kind of weird being an atheist watching these sorts of things as they assume Christians are the good guys and the ones you should be rooting for... But I guess I can live with that. What I find difficult to understand is why, in the face of evidence of true evil, the priests on TV always seem to lose faith? I mean, they finally have proper proof that what they believe is right and true and they stop believing in it? :dumb:

Anyway, Female Exorcist has not lost faith yet. Or her liver. 1 episode to go.

You are mistakenly assuming that faith has anything to do with demonstratable facts.

Not really. I am aware that they start believing with no proof at all and that some even think the absence of proof is what settles it as fact. It's the way they stop believing when they get more reason to believe that stumps me, but maybe it's just one of life's ironies. Or one of TV entertainment's ironies, more like.
