I haven't started baking yet... :dumb:
(And no, the wood isn't perfect but I could probably twiddle until christmas without getting it any better...)

Any an all misspellings are henceforth blamed on the cats.

I think I kind of added bump but I'm not sure it makes a visible difference so it's probably not even needed at this level... I also think I might need to add some red to the green/brown bits of the cloth. :hmm: (No bump on wall or table, figure they're too smooth to need it)

:woohoo:

Adding a bit of bump to wood can make a difference. As can plugging the texture into the roughness although you usually have to tweak it with a colour ramp to tone it down.

But this is looking good.

I figured if it's a glossy table, you won't really notice much of the wood grain... but thank you. Now I just need a large platter and I might be ready to start baking gingerbreads....

No material at all yet. I'll need to work on the edges to get them somewhere between too sharp and too smooth, which seems to be the two settings I'm able to produce...

At least I have now learned why I could no longer find the setAngle thing for smoothness. Apparently it was removed in 4.1 and up, replaced with a modifier.

I've gone straight for the house baking for my start...

Instead of trying to be clever with topology and failing (the dough ball in the other thread) I've decided to make it out of lots of separate bits.
That'll probably turn it into a terrible chore when it comes to materials/textures but at least it's staying house shaped for now.
And I used the screw modifier for the little twirly bits at the corners. :excited:

I know exactly what those twirly bits are and yet I can't find any good pics of them. No such candy looks like I remember it - I suspect the manufacturers are just too lazy to properly twirl them these days :shakefist:

:O
I wasn't thinking of marshmallows.... :dumb:

Edit: Basically I was thinking of something like this, though I could swear they used to be twisted rather than just having a vague semblance of a stripey pattern...
