The smoke has gone missing again.
And my attempt at modelling something else went very wrong.

I'm too tired for this today. Next time may be better. :aha:

Dragon + Fire. :hmm:

This experiment went much better than I expected.
Not perfect though. I'd like to narrow the spray a bit more so that the entire face doesn't get obscured and I forgot to check the box to make it interact with the ground.
Tweaking things may ruin it further but I think I've got this simulation saved so hopefully I can come back to this if anything goes wrong. Or wronger. :dumb:
Still don't know what to do for the background/surroundings.  :dunno:
*checks deadline*
Not sure if I'll have time to model an environment as well.

EDIT: I just tried to animate it flapping its wings!
That won't be happening again. :nope: :)

A Low-Poly knight and his horse waiting to be cooked.

Not sure how much detail/texturing will be required or added to these seeing as they'll mostly be disappearing into flames so it's not worth wasting more time on it just yet.
Still not sure about the background environment. :S

Why do my attempts at 3D landscapes always look tiny? :pout:

I just can't get the sense of scale right and they always look like a fake, little diorama. :(

:hmm:
Might it be a field of view thing or something like that?

Yep, and lowering the camera position to angle up a bit more is working better too.
I've also put some mist in now and that's helping to visualise the problems and how to solve them.

I'm still not liking my ground textures much. The scale of those is also proving to be bothersome. As soon as you shrink them down to the right scale you start getting really obvious tiling.
And it still annoys me that the adaptive subdivision doesn't work in Eevee cos it's such a good effect for ground textures.
I may end up doing a selective render of the extreme foreground in Cycles and then overlaying that in front of the main Eevee render. :hmm:
It probably won't work.

I wonder if I can use a displacement modifier in Eevee with a really high subdivision level on top of my current texturing? :hmm:

*CRASH* :argh:

That's a No then.
I'm glad I saved just before that.
