Well, I'm not entirely against the idea of remakes. It depends on what it is they are doing. If a remake is basically just the same film shot with a different cast then I don't see the point in it. Not sure what to think of Dumbo.

Thankfully Disney isn't just lazily going through their back catalogue of animated films and remaking them as live action films, they are also doing brand new original and creative ideas like this...

They haven't made an animated film called Mowgli before

why do I keep clicking the thank you button instead of the quick reply? :?

Anyway was that Blanchett as the snake? These old retold kid's stories seem to attract a lot of big actor names...

*probably won't see either of them and even more likely will have forgotten all about them by the time they premiere*

Speaking of which, oops it's wednesday - I need to remember the cinema tonight if I wanna see Jurassic World anytime soon...(I totally missed Solo :( )

I have just finished watching "The World's End" (2013) on TV. Odd movie but kind of funny. Very odd, really.

It’s the one Simon Pegg movie that i’m not keen on, i’ve watched it 3 times trying to see if I remember it wrongly but nope, still doesn’t appeal

Simon Pegg, is that the "Gary King" character? And Hot Fuzz one, I think?
I found it rather funny. Though I basically watched the whole thing just so I would find out where the heck they were going with it...

I think I like the idea behind those Simon Pegg films more than I like the actual films, if that makes sense. The one I enjoyed most was the one with the alien. Paul, I think it was called. And I don't mind him the MI movies too.
However, I can certainly do without his poor-accented version of Scotty in the new Trek films but he did do a decent job of writing the last one so credit where it's due.

Paul is my favourite film, it just makes me happy, Shaun of the Dead is close behind, I also enjoy Hot Fuzz, I guess i’m a fan :D

I get a feeling it's the kind of movies where the actors have an awful lot of fun making the movie.... :)
