Stayed awake through half of Captain Marvel last night. :dry:
May try to stay awake through the second half this evening.

Or I may just give up trying to watch anything. :lol:


I remember now.
The first half of Captain Marvel is much better than the second half. :aha:

And the first half wasn't particularly good either. It's basically an origin story where an already immensely powerful super powered person gains... a slightly different costume and learns... nothing really.

I wish I liked Terry Pratchett more. I try but... :shrug:

It certainly wasn't great, but I did like the way they structured the first part. Origin stories usually have a normal person becoming a superhero but by starting with the superpowered person and having them discover their "normal" origin added a bit more drama than you usually get in Marvel movies.
But then it quickly degenerated into that more familiar dross of supermanwoman doing special effect stuff punctuated by tiresome banter. :eyeroll:
