It seems that pirate-style sea shanties are the latest internet fad. I've encountered different versions of that particular one every day for what seems like most of the month but today I've seen it soooo many times on TV (especially that irritating Tik Tok advert) that it's starting to drive me slightly mad. They even played a version at the football match I was watching for some reason. :dunno:

Hasn't this movie been made before? :dumb:

I've decided to watch "that" movie that was made before just to check and I can now say that "this" movie is definitely not "that" movie. :confident:

I'd completely forgotten that Charles Dance was in "that" movie. :dumb:
Maybe I slept through those bits first time around.

No, the one I watched last night was called King of The Monsters.
That was the one that jumped into my mind when watching the "new" trailer and when I looked at my movie channel things and saw it was still there I thought I'd refresh my memory on how dreadful it was. :)

Edit: And I still don't understand how deliberately releasing monsters to fight each other will somehow save the future of humanity?? :dunno:

My brother "just" posted (i.e. I just read it) on Facebook about the new movie saying it was an unexpected monster combination. Not sure which universe he lives in...

Edit: I posted this for him (it's from 1962)

Edit after reading Val's edit: That's what I was trying to understand while watching that trailer, too. First "It's our only chance/hope/something" and then "Oh it's Godzilla" - so apparently they didn't even know what was going on when they decided setting King Kong lose was the only solution?

In King Of The Monsters one character actually says that when the monsters are released life flourishes around them because of all the radiation.
