Sens8 is continuing to be a little frustrating. I like the idea of the story but the characters feel rather uninteresting. I keep waiting for them to dive into the main plot but they insist on filling most of the episodes with the shallow melodrama of the characters' normal lives.

So I've impatiently started something else and have now watched the first episode of Messiah. And that seems a little more interesting... for now. :)

Last night I watched the second Kingsman thing on TV and found it to be rather silly. Even more than the first one.
And what on earth was Elton John doing?!
:dunno:

I watched it last night and all the way through I kept thinking that it was basically a Spy Kids movie with some swearing slapped on top to convince people it was a mature grown up film (which it isn't). I believe Elton John was meant to be hilariously funny... :eyeroll:

It is entirely possible that you already saw it and just forgot, it's that memorable. They took the good bits from the original film, threw those away, then multiplied the crap bits to fill up the running time.

Don't forget the robot dogs that were slightly less convincing than the one from that Wallace And Gromit film.

I felt like an animated movie, so I started watching"Animal Crackers". Uhm... So this one bad guy is apparently a dwarf and that makes it funny to accidentally run him over twice with your car because you can't see him?

Edit: There's also.... "singing". I'm not sure it's supposed to be good but what's the point of having bad musical numbers in a movie? The whole thing feels like a waste of good art and animation.

Haven't seen that but google tells me it has an impressive cast for a film I've never heard of.
I do get tired of cute CGI talking animals though, so perhaps that's why I've never noticed that movie before. :)

well for a movie called animal crackers, about a family circus with an animal theme, there aren't that many animals, so far. There's been dog, a cat, a hamster (with blue eyebrows and actually looking more like a guinea pig) and a bear.
