If the fans felt the need to make flow charts, then there probably is a need to study them....

Last night I watched that Keanu film 47 Ronin again and it didn't seem quite as silly as I remembered it. Yes, Keanu was as bad as ever but I seemed to enjoy the big set pieces with the special effects and didn't fall asleep. :)

And I noticed this trailer doing the rounds yesterday...

The first season did fade a little at times but I'll still be watching the second one.

..and I shall now watch World War Z to see if I can spot all that product placement that I missed first time around. :)

Edit: I'd forgotten about the grenade-on-a-plane bit. Brilliant idea, Brad. Genius.
Still waiting for some product placement.

Edit 2: Fell asleep and missed it again.

Sooo, Dark is finished and I watched the last of The Leftovers the other night (never really turned into the show I wanted it to be), I guess it's time to find something new on Netflix. :S

Let's try... Aquarius.

*play episode 1*

Edit: Hmm, Old Mulder doesn't look like a man from the 60s. :nope:

Edit 2: Well that was a bit... meh. Was that Game Of Thrones chap supposed to be Charles Manson?!?
I'll try a couple more episodes later in the week but it's not Mindhunter..

I looked up Aquarius, and found a 2018 Robin Hood movie I didn't know existed.

I dunno... the trailer looked at least possibly amusing...

well... I have now watched it due to sleeping cat on arm... and eh... Val's assessment wasn't too far off...

I guess part of whether you like or dislike it may be down to how "orthodox" you want your stories... I prefer a story to be true to it's origins OR advertised as different, such as "a modern day Robin Hood". I'm not entirely sure what this version of the story was aiming for. But the costumes and architecture was on par with "Reign" when it comes to historical accuracy. Robin was basically wearing some kind of hoodie, Marian had a tight leather jacket, the Sheriff some plastic looking grey trenchcoat... And well... that's just the clothing...

Yes, it was the modern day thing plus the way they didn't promote it as such that made me very suspicious of that movie.

On to episode three of Aquarius to see if it improves... :S

...still a bit ... meh.

So I'll make a start on that German rehash of Perfume.
I liked the original book and the movie too, so let's see if this survives another of those "unorthodox modern day updates."

Edit: Hmm, that was more like "vaguely inspired by..." than "adapted from..." and rather slow too, but it could still be interesting.
