Hey guys, I really enjoy this forum. I've never take part in a challenge here but this month I want to. Hope you're nice to me - I'm still learning to paint. :) This is my idea for the dead of night challenge. :)

Thanks micro :) It feels good to be back. :D

Great start! Will it be in black &white or will you add colors too?
Linasue, nice start so far :) Hope to see your next steps soon :)

I started with the fire and the first little voodoo doll. I love voodoo dolls.

Cherry: When I saw the title of this challenge I immediately thought of eerie blues and greens so it was a nice surprise to see someone use a colour scheme with warm saturated tones. Looking forward to seeing it progress.

Microscopi: Looks scary already, even as a little thumbnail. <shudder>

Linasue: Cute and yet strangely disturbing. Keep it going.

Hey Valence, I want it to feel super creepy, ive gotten spooked myself just working on it :( Cherry i'm going to add some red, lots and lots of red lol but seriously Im going to add as much color as a nighttime scene will allow. I really like the way you shaded the pumpkin looking awesome, flames look really nice too. Linasue, very cool take on the theme, want to see how it turns out, lots of cryptic images. Charlotte, as long as you're enjoying youself too :silly:

Thanks for your kind words :)
Here's my first WIP with colors.. I'm not sure about the cuteness of the girl in this dark scene... has anyone any tips for me? Is she to bright or is it right anyway?

Welcome to the forum Linasue. I think having a cute dress might add to the creepy as long as you darken it to the lighting of the scene. Of course you could go the Addams Family goth look of Wendy with the boy being dressed as Pugsley. Either the movie, TV or comic version. If you haven't seen the original Charles Addams comic here is a similar Christmas idea:

Anyway since tomorrow is the a Blood Moon I did a little image for fun
