Thankfully her hand gets lost too! 
But it was a really tough angle for the woman's head. I was hoping it'd be a quick greyscale scribble followed by a bit of work on my challenge pic then a bit of Skyrim, but I ended up struggling with this one all evening.

well I think you did her face hidden in shadows really well. Enough detail to see that she has a face and probably a beautiful one, while still being properly dark and shadowy.

Good stuff Val! Her gaze is really convincing as is his disregard of it. I always struggle to get that convincing connection between two characters on the rare occasions I paint more than one.
I've not finished anything I've been happy with for some time but it seemed to flow at lot easier today so here's Doc.
