Today I had the great idea of trying to do a 3D sculpture portrait instead of yet another scribbly, smeary painting.
I thought it was going OK until I tried to texture it and was then shocked at how grotesquely lumpy the mesh was.

I don't know how people manage to do that sculpting thing without it going lumpy like that.

So having abandoned that I went to put my pen back down and noticed that my normally white Wacom Tablet was now a rather strange shade of splattered red like some kind of crime scene. It seems while working my knuckle had split open without me realising and I've just been bleeding for two hours all over the desk.

Wish I'd just spent the time playing video games instead.

Spent far too long this evening in a failed attempt to draw hands and now I'm tired and annoyed with a frustrated headache.
And no picture to show for it.

Frustrated headaches are the worst. They're so grumpy

I shall now try and "ungrump" myself by watching The Expanse.

Instead of my usual late-night gaming on Trials and trying to find Kaslo in Lords Of The Fallen, I made an effort to "finish" that pic....



But the hands are still rotten.

And these hands are rotten too...



I actually quit on this one half way through when my idea went very wrong but after 45 minutes of gaming on Trials I then had a new idea of how to finish it and continued scribbling a little while longer.

I think the hands are fine, as is the rest of it.
