The wings are looking very nice.

I think those under-the-chin viewpoints are really tricky to judge, especially when you're just at the sketching stage. Once you've blocked the colour in and got a better sense of the light and shadow it'll become a lot easier to work on. :aha:

Her legs are confusing. I am assuming the leg on the left is raised and the knee is pointing toward the viewer, but it is drawn as if it were vertical like the other leg. If it is pointing toward us the armour should follow the perspective of the leg.

Scribble to aid explanation...

Valence:  Thank you and I agree!  Hopefully things looks more natural now that it's fully painted, please feel free to let me know!

Banj:  Great points!  Thanks for the paintover as well, really appreciate it. I made some changes and went ahead and painted it in, hopefully it looks now!............... I went ahead and painted the drawing, pretty pleased with how it turned out.  Of course there's time to make some minor changes if needed, so if something looks particularly off please let me know!  Below is the current preview followed by the steps for those interested:

Hope everyone is enjoying the holidays!  I started on a new sketch, wanted to experiment with something a bit more dynamic and outside my normal comfort zone, so I chose to depict a more action oriented scene.  I had loose reference for the pose of the figure which you can view here .  The sketch took a lot of work due to its complexity, but I'm very satisfied with it and wanted to hear any input before I begin the painting process, so if something feels off please let me know!  Below is the sketch.

The thing that stands out the most to me is her teeth. I'm not sure they'd be that large or prominent.
Another thing is her arm to our left. I think maybe it looks a bit big compared to the other arm and it's not actually closer, after all. I also think maybe the original ref, with a straighter arm, looks more dynamic. So just some things to consider :)

There are a couple of bad tangents. The hand on the left touches the line of her bum, and it took a while for me to realise she is holding a weapon in the other hand as it follows the line of her hip and thigh on the right, and the rest looked like clothing details.

Is that reference AI generated, because it doesn't make a whole lot of sense?

Charlotte:  Great input!  I agree regarding the mouth and teeth.  I toned it down a bit slightly but not too much as I want to emphasize her expression.  Also tweaked the arm a bit, made it slightly shorter for a more natural look.  Please let me know if it's better now that's it's fully painted!

Banj:  Yep, there are that I'm aware of as well, I figured I'd fix them during the painting process when I concentrate more on the edges as the linework was very time consuming and didn't want spend too much time perfecting the tangents and such.  Hopefully the weapon looks more natural and bolder now that it's painted, please let me know!  As for the ref, no clue if it's AI generated, it's something I found on Pinterest which is now filled with AI garbage so it might be, who knows!

............I went ahead and made some changes based on the input received and painted it in.  I'm fairly pleased with the illustration, the feeling of 'war' I think is really expressed nicely which was my main goal here.  I'm still open to input if there's anything that needs tweaking or can be improved, so please feel free to let me know!  Below is the current progress followed by the steps for those interested:
