Well the lamp is in the middle of the group so I think two-face or whatshisname should get a bit more light on the damaged side of his face, other than that it's just a bit of a shame that it's hard to see what Harley Quinn is up to at the back :)

Charlotte:  Great input!  Made some of those changes you mentioned and attached an update below.

...........................

I did some minor updates to the image, basically introduced some darker tones to the background and blended the background with Harley from a previous step which hopefully makes things a bit more clear.  I think I'm calling this done for now, unless there's something major that is off that needs correcting.  Here is the current image:  Next up I finished an image representing enlightenment.  I'm currently reading about the Chakra's of the human body and that was the main inspiration for this image.  I'm quite happy with it.  Pink/purple is a difficult color to use as it could look a bit unnatural but I feel I pulled it of quite well.  Below is the image followed by the steps for those interested.  Any feedback would be most appreciated as always:

I like blue+pink combos and you pulled off the pink clouds well - and also her fiery hair without it clashing with the pink. I rather like how her toes seem to glow by themselves in the shadow :) but it looks as if the nails are glowing in the finished pic and as if we don't see the big toe nail in the sketch so I'm not entirely sure what I'm actually looking at.
And looking at her face I think her mouth is slightly off to the side, which is quite natural in humans I guess but I think in an image such as this her face should probably be symmetrical?

Charlotte: Glad to hear that!  I rarely use a color palette like this so I'm happy to hear the colors worked out!  Fixed the issue regarding the mouth as well, good eye!

..........................

I did some minor changes to the recent image, basically tried to make it less symmetrical.  I think I'm calling it finished for now unless something really major is off:    Next up I finished up a sketch inspired by the 'Magic: The Gathering' series.  I'm a huge fan of many of those artists so I thought it would be cool to do something in that style.  I'm pretty pleased with the sketch but I wanted to hear any feedback before I proceed with some color tests, so please let me know!

I've never played that game but I guess I'll have to allow for facial expressions on the skulls :P However, the two skulls furthest to the sides look a bit odd around the jawbones, especially the one to the right.
There's a weird kind of curve to the jaws, assuming these are human skulls...

Charlotte:  Excellent point!  The reference you shared was very helpful as well.  Went ahead and updated the sketch and finished up the image!

........................

I worked on the image and it's pretty much finalized although I'm open to hearing any feedback on it.  Below is the final followed by the steps for those interested!

To be honest this one doesn't seem to have quite the same vibrancy in the colours that your work usually has. Nothing wrong with doing something different, though, of course. But that said, I think the lighting seems a bit "off". The skulls and magic doesn't really seem to glow but they still give the impression that maybe they should. His eyes glow blue and there are two pale warm light sources in the background, yet the strongest light is blue from somewhere else (our left). I'm not sure, but I'm thinking maybe he should have a blue lights a bit all over from the magic swirly skull thingies and a warm backlight/rimlight from either the fire or the moon? Oh there are two fires, even. They look rather bleak, and I think their intensity could be upped, maybe? Though of course the overall mood and lighting decides...

Chartlotte:  Thanks and I agree!  I started very moncohromatic on this one.  I just did some final changes to make it more vibrant and more colorful, so hopefully it's an improvement!

.................

I did some final changes to the current image which you can see below.  I'm calling this one finished!

Next I worked on another image which is pretty much finalized as well, wanted to hear some final input before I consider it done.  Below is the current preview followed by the reference and steps:

and that'll be all for now!  Thanks again to everyone for the kinds words and support!

Lovely colour choices in this one. I particularly like the soft light catching the fabric on the legs, it does a wonderful job of defining the subtle texture of the folds. :aha:

And I think the increased glow and distortion of the skulls really ups the magical element of the previous one :)
