Thanks to an Nvidia/GeforceNow promotion I've managed (after much messing about and yet ANOTHER launcher! ) to get a free three-month GamePass thingy. And looking through the catalogue that means one thing...

I saw the free trial but opted to not get it. Figure I play enough as it is...

I tried to get the redeem code the other day but it would only give me an error message and a lot of people on the internet were saying that there were only supposed to be a limited amount of codes and that they'd reached that limit quickly so I thought I'd missed out.
I was actually gonna complain about it in this thread yesterday but then thought it was worth trying one more time and it gave me a code!
So if you're eligible then it's still worth trying again.
There are some good games in the current catalogue but Hellblade 2 was the one I really wanted to play.

But sorting out the Microsoft account, Windows Store AND the Xbox app/launcher and was more hassle than it needed to be.

Memo to self: Must remember to cancel in September before they start charging me £7.99 a month.

Adventures with GamePass continue with Forza Horizon 5. And it's pretty good even though my driving skills are not. But- and this shows how creepy all those Microsoft accounts are- the game knows my real name and all the NPCs use it when talking to me!

Gonna have to go through the settings to find a way to stop that!
