From what I saw of Ancestors it was a nice idea that was poorly executed. I was initially interested in it when I first heard of it, but then I saw the game play.

Abe's Odyssey was about saving the dudes from the meat factory. The original version was given away somewhere at some point, but it was pretty much unplayable due to the key bindings behaving oddly (it is oddworld after all).

Well that is the most important thing after all. :confident:

I'm still stranded in the north in Skyrim and there's a big, biiig range of mountains between me and where I want to be going. I bypassed Morthal altogether because I don't want to start the stories there yet and tried to make my way back to another road of some kind. And once I'd found it I followed it eastwards as that seemed the best option, but after a while it forked with one path leading south which looked promising. I need to be going south to find out who stole that loot before me.
Sure enough the path weaved and climbed up into a mountain pass but this ominous looking place was in the way...

Gonna have to go through there.
And as I climbed up the stairs I heard Frost Trolls screaming down at me. Trolls. Plural.
I'm fine taking down one but if there's a group of them up there then... nooo. :nope:
Back down to the other path and onwards to the east again. :pirate:
But the eastward road now started to turn north. And then the blizzards came.
I checked the map and the road now seems to go VERY north, all the way up to Dawnstar, which is a very long detour.
So turn around and go back again. :eyeroll:
I'm now returning west to circle waaay round that side of mountain ridge and hopefully back to civilisation that way towards Rorikstead. :)

I don't know how you keep track of where you're going, been or what quests you're saving for later

I think I just play it often enough that I don't get chance to forget. :P
It also does a good job of listing the quests in an easy to understand way but as well as that I've also got a mod called Take Notes that allows you to write in a book and effectively do your own journal. When I started with it I was writing along with everything I did as if I was making a first person fantasy novel out of my adventures
But recently I seem to have let that go in favour of yet more exploring.

I've just checked and my last entry was back when I was in Riften about two weeks ago. And that's two weeks of in-game days which is probably several months of my time. In my Skyrim it's currently the 9th of Sun's Dusk. :confident:

Subnautica always makes me want to write a journal as I play, but then I don't want to stop to make notes... Also, it's not as fun when you've already played it through. But I'm considering trying it for Below Zero when that's finally released.

And yes, I am up at 3 am. The cats are sleeping for once but of course I am awake anyway. :pout:

3am means bed for me after just spending an hour of frustrated fun in Trials Rising.
Just couldn't quite beat my best time in the.... tutorial.

That seems a little more likely. :aha:
I think the other one was just someone's wishlist.

Alien Isolation looks interesting. And I have a couple of those from previous giveaways. Metro 2033 is still unplayed in my library but I have finished Inside. You should definitely get that if you don't have it. Despite its shortness its one of the best games I've ever played.

Alien: Isolation is excellent, I have the PS3 version. It does a fantastic job of capturing the aesthetic and feel of the original film and is also a pretty good sequel story line as well.
