YouTube keeps telling me to watch videos of Crimson Desert, which is apparently from the people who made Black Desert Online which I no longer play...



Looks pretty enough (too pretty for my PC) and seems a bit more like the Elder Scrolls in setting and style with no purple haired anime girl in sight.
Hope it has better story telling than BDO and less of that money grabbing, pay-to-win stuff would be a good thing too.

I'm currently being bossed around in Skyrim and I'm not comfortable with it.
You know how I like to play: Slowly wander over here. Maybe do this quest. Explore over yonder. Collect some goodies, sell them later. Go on a long journey. Bump into M'aiq The Liar. Climb that mountain. Enjoy the view. Hum along to the soundtrack. Take a closer look at that big waterfall. Go back home. Do some cooking or magic. Etc. Etc.
And all done at my own leisurely pace. THAT'S how I play.

But now I have a character ordering me around. "Do this now! Follow me urgently. Come back with me to- " Look, I tell you what... just make your own way there and I'll meet you later.Yes? I promise I'll get back to you... WHEN I WANT TO!
They won't even get on a horse so I've spent the last two hours just running after them on foot. And they seem to have better stamina than me.

"Come back with me to-"
I said I'll meet you there later!

No, that's still today - "Stranded Deep" - the intro also looks a bit like Subnautica (accident leaving you in the water etc...)
I think I might like it.

Ah, it was today then. It's hard to tell what day it is at the moment.

I remember it saying that it was an "early access" game that isn't fully finished yet. And the specs almost sounded like i might be able to run it but the quality of the gameplay video disagreed.

Well the gameplay video looked better than the graphics in game... The 3D isn't particularly great (although my settings are at medium quality, admittedly). The controls are clunky and annoying so far. It's:
Pick up item
Drop item
Hit item
Pick up again
No wait, you have no inventory space...

Also I somehow managed to destroy my first camp fire. Not even sure how

And now I am to build something that requires a coconut flask. But there's no crafting recipe for such a thing. (The internet does provide the recipe, though, I'm just not sure it can be made without the crafting menu...)

EDIT: Nope I can't find it in the menu or do it any other way. All the guides say "it's easy" and "it's in the same menu as antidotes and sun blocks". Well guess what? I don't have such a crafting menu.

EDIT: oh for f's sake... *found it*

I didn't even know I was afflicted by 2 out of 3. I was just desperately trying to find water. Then I fell out of a coconut tree and "broke something".

And then my comp froze on a black screen.... Which would have been an excellent opportunity to go to bed. But... no.

So, on load, there was this tip saying to be careful going out to sea with the life raft in a storm. So the very first time I take the life raft for a spin.... there's a storm. And now it's upside down and there are sharks in the water

And it's almost 6 am.... maybe I should get to bed...

EDIT: I had to swim ashore and wait for the storm to clear. Once it did, the raft was right side up again. Then I tried to get back to shore, but apparently they only go in one direction. So I tried weighing anchor again and the raft tipped over and is now upside down and I had to swim ashore...

This time I AM going to bed....
