I've just beaten Sirene (a big boss) on my first attempt!
Admittedly I did know about the AntiCharm tip in advance. That would have really annoyed me if I hadn't stumbled upon it while looking up something else.

On to the end of Act Two.
Unless I go off to do some other frustrating side quest stuff first.

How about a game of Gwent?

 

Erm... StarGwent.... HoloGwent... Holotactics. Yes, that's it.

Anyway, forget about that, on to the next boss... well, after some tricky climbing/jumping with savepoints too far apart. But the boss is here now.

The two health-bars thing should be illegal. It's such a cheat.
Just give him a double sized health bar.
Don't have me beat him, give me the victory cut scene and then just put him back there even more difficult than before.

You should probably avoid ever playing Dark Souls 3, that does both. In fact several bosses have three stages. One DLC boss in particular has three stages and deliberately trolls the player by giving a reward at the end of the second stage just to fool you into thinking the fight is over.

Well that was a tricky collection of baddies/bosses/baddies as I continue to push on towards the end of Act 2.
I seemed to be using every one of my turns just to heal or revive members of my party which made the fights go on for ages. The annoying shield/cannon guy turned up again to obliterate several characters. (Heal-Revive-Heal-Revive again) and then that irritating teasing delayed-sword-attack-guy appeared and I thought I could get away with that by using Sciel's effective Dark/Healing Grim Harvest attack but... Nullified???
I squint at the screen and see that it's not that delayed-attack-guy after all, it's a similar but darker one that obviously has the opposite effect.
But I survived. Barely.
All but one of my characters had only a single health point.
So I backtracked and took on another non-boss fight just so that I could use some of Lune's healing powers for a while before killing that easier baddie.
And then I got to a flag!
*big sigh*

Still making my way to the end of Act 2.
And after a few fights some of my characters health was a bit down again and I don't want to use my potions or tints so soon after a flag. I need an easy fight with someone so I can get Lune and Sciel to heal everyone between attacks. Easy fight? Round here?
Oh wait- There's a Petank!
That'll do.
But he wouldn't get on his little mark to fight.
He ran around a little rock for ages before I could shepherd him the right way to start the fight.
But he's there now so let's get some healing done and then kill him and collect the special loot that he has.

Oh, dear.
It's a high level Petank. With a rather good attack that I haven't learned to dodge yet. And my attacks aren't hitting his health bar at all. This is almost like a Mime fight. I'll get the hang of it eventually...But then he flees and does a runner mid-fight.
I only did this to heal a few people but now everyone's health is almost gone and I didn't get any of the loot either.

I'll explore around a bit more instead of following the lights to the main story. Maybe there'll be some other healing opportunities or an easy fight round here.
Let's go down this rope into this dark cave...
