Despite my aversion to pointy-chin stuff I started watching Castlevania last night.
I think I managed 15 minutes of episode one until falling asleep.
When I woke up season two was starting.
I may try again cos I didn't hate the few minutes I saw.

Also... I forgot to mention this previously, or maybe I did and forgot about it ...the other week I watched another animated movie thing on Netflix called Green Snake and again, I didn't hate it. The Chinese folklore stuff was a bit convoluted but the art, designs and animation were surprisingly good.

(Edit: Just allowing myself one Umbrella Academy episode a day because I want it to last. Though I guess I might watch it all over again, later...)

Scientist who's mentioned to be super intelligent and light years ahead of her peers is amazed that life existed 65 million years ago.  

But there were some "winks" to the first movie that I kind of enjoyed. I'm probably corny that way. (Not the claw tapping, that felt like they just had to put it in somewhere but it was the wrong where...)

Tried to watch Umbrella Academy today but it wouldn't play (second time that happens - I just get a black screen but other series play fine) so I watched the first episode of Dead Boy Detectives instead. It kept being mentioned how young they are but they didn't quite look like teenagers so I had to look 'em up and all all three (the boys and "Crystal Palace") actors are between 25 and 30 (or 25 and 27 or so). I guess it's in the category of useless knowledge but seeing as I usually suck on telling people's ages I'm kind of chuffed that I could, in fact, tell that they were in their 20ies, this time.
