Well, I did say it got better, after the singing...

I did go back to click the spoiler.

But it wasn't really my kind of thing. Too many pointy chins, disappearing noses, jerky straight-legged running with elbows out to the side and many more things that I actively dislike. If you take away the obvious branding of the logos and the title then I wouldn't even recognise it as being about the world of The Witcher. It just looked like every other anime I've ever seen.
The story was OK if a little formulaic. The only thing I didn't expect was the reveal about the old woman and I liked that.
Overall it felt like a cringey exposition dump so that new viewers will know who Vesemir is before he appears in the next episodes.

I just watched "Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild". I have no idea of the "backstory" but I'm guessing it's based on a game. Seems pretty much anything that's alive but doesn't speak is a monster... And monsters should be killed. Respectfully, of course. Main character is a stupid brat who keeps doing stupid things. Graphics and animation is very computer-game-y but I think I like the style better than the one used for the Witcher. The Witcher had a better story, though. Or at least told it better...

Definitely not live action. Anything living is monsters and must be killed, so.... definitely not alive.

You are probably thinking of the recent film adaptation of the game from visionary director Paul W S Anderson starring Mrs Paul W S Anderson a.k.a Milla Jehovahswitnessovich.

Last night I finally finished (or rather, forced myself to finish) 13 Reasons Why. The last ever episode was pretty good actually which was surprising considering that the rest of season 4 was so shoddy. It really should have ended after those first 13 episodes.

But I'm still enjoying Marco Polo as I move on to season 2.
