While Merlin has dared to sleep under the blankets with me for quite some time, lately he's been climbing up on me to sniff my face/hands/phone (whatever seems safest apparently - face is not safe if I have my eyes open...) but today he actually dared to climb up, and settle down. So we had a long snuggly while in bed while I was playing games on my cellphone and he was snoozing on top of me, getting occasional pets without deciding to leave.

I haven't had any cat encounters since being followed last week. I've seen plenty of them, there are about twelve on the street that all wander around and through everyone's gardens but if you're not offering food they tend to run away as soon as they see you.

Oh speaking of cat encounters I got to cuddle with one of my dad's neighbours' cat the other day. It's the second time (in four years!) it's been feeling cuddly - apparently it doesn't really like strangers, so I feel quite special.
