100% ? I'm pretty sure mine always go to 500%... But it's one of the drawbacks of artrage, that it measure brushes in % instead of pixels. (And sometimes being smaller than you'd like, too.)

EDIT: And I always use the shift+drag... so 500 is the max for that...

If I work on a 20cm canvas at 300 dpi the largest even the roller brush goes is about a 20th of my canvas.

I do my portrait paintings at 3500 pixels on the long side, which is round about A4 size at 300dpi, and on that scale a single stroke of the largest paint roller at 500% looks like this...

...so I think you'll be OK when you get them above the 100% size.

Thanks both I’ll look into that.
In the meantime here’s that commission almost done that I posted sometime back.
Any C&C would be amazing as I’m sending it to print Monday.

Gotta love those wrinklebutts.
If anything, maybe the legs/paws look slightly less finished than the rest of the animals. The shading on their backs, with the fur and wrinkles, is awesome though!

(And I have no clue but is the boat supposed to say Stamford or Stanford? Stanford somehow seems more correct to me, but I dunno what people name their boats...)

Ha ha! I don’t know what people name their boats either but it’s Stamford. It’s the name of the dog on the right. The other ones called Roman and the text on the orange boat is 05/01/2021 the clients husbands 50th birthday. Thanks Charlotte!

I’ve tried all those bits of advice and I can confirm they all work in the new Artrage.
I’m much happier now with it as a painting tool as it’s starting to feel a lot more natural.
I’m still a little confused as to how various brushes interact with those beneath and I need to set up some of my usual keyboard shortcuts but that’s gonna come with time.
Thanks guys, you’ve saved me a whole heap of time and head scratching. My scalp thanks you too!

all I've managed since Iris, is opening the art program and procrastinating...
