It's a long time since I watched Firefly so all these references are sailing way over my head no matter where its brain may be. :dumb:

The only thing I clearly remember from that show is "Mercy is the mark of a great man."
It made me laugh then and still does now every time I think of it.

Well since it turns out that I only watched Serenity and probably none of the firefly episodes, I'm actually cheating a bit with the quotes. But the leaf one, I remember. All the way back since yesterday...

Previously on here I have often complained about the way Netflix has the second and third of The Lord of the Rings movies but not the first one. :dunno:

But that first one was on TV this week, so with that safely recorded I shall begin to watch it in a few moments time.

Of course I shall not promise to stay awake, especially as it's 3 and more hours, plus I have been horribly tired all day (even wanted to go to sleep the instant I woke up ) but I shall enjoy every moment seen with open eyes. :)

...I'd forgotten that the film starts with 10 minutes of clunky exposition from voice-over Galadriel.:eyeroll:
Hurry up and get to the birthday party bit.
