Indeed there is!! When did that happen?!
When version 2.8 was released earlier this year (oh wait- I mean last year, it's 2015 now) they said they'd ditched XP, although there were some tentative suggestions of an "unofficial" build.
I should keep up with the latest news more often.

Tootles off to download.

:(

Nope, that'll teach me to not get excited.
I double click the little .msi and it instantly tells me I need a newer version of the Windows installer and/or service pack, even though it's as up to date as it ever can be (in its own obsolete way.)
I'll stick with Artrage methinks.

Not related to the download issue discussed above, ..just wanted to mention I like the new peice and agree that the longer neck does go with the character overall stature. But it may be just a tad too long though. Like her expression too. :)

I shortened the neck a bit more... But I've also compared head sizes and neck lengths and she IS within the possible range of real people :P

anyway slooooowly working away on the dress and have sketched in some hair and jewellery... Skin still not done - I'm not entirely sure which colours I want. E.g. the one "finished" hand (to our left) looks too red but at the same time it would look red against all that green cloth. But it doesn't feel quite right yet.

Looking good! Loving that expression on her face:P I do think the pink sleeves are a bit intense in saturation but that could be me.

The "red" hand looks fine to me, you always get a reddish colour toward the fingertips and sometimes on knuckles too. I think whatever problem you may perceive might be exaggerated by the flatness of the green colour between the hands. It's the difference in detail that makes the shaded hand jump out a bit.

As always, thanks for the feedback :) It's much appreciated. I have reduced the saturation of the inner sleeves: I was thinking that Cersei would want to flaunt her riches with many and colourful fabrics but the reduced saturation does fit better with the overall colours of the image. Also realised that the hands look way too red to me only after I've been staring until cross eyed at the green dress, so it's been mostly "after image effects". They work better with shadows underneath too :P But her left had is still very unfinished.

The dress on the other hand is pretty much done I think. I was planning to add more embroideries but I'm not sure I can manage and I think it may become too much. Originally I planned it for the bottom of the skirt, but I think it might be better at the base of the long sleeves instead. Only that may look odd since we only see the "back" or outside of one sleeve. So still undecided about that.

I've also been working on her chest and face today, though the face is still far from finished - especially the shading on her chin is still quite awkward. (And I'm not sure how I want to paint her eye lashes and eye brows...) But now my fingers are starting to cramp so I'll let the image rest for a while.

The fabric looks very nice indeed. She does kind-of look pasted on right now, (at least the head) and I think that is because the high-light of her hair isn't blending into the BG. I think maybe adding some shadows instead of the high-lights would help with this? Just a suggestion though. :)
