Dragon Rising already??

I put off that quest for weeks and weeks.
What level are you now?

Dragon Rising? uhm... level 5? It's "attacking" Whiterun (actually the reports only said it was flying overhead but you know humans... they immediately considered themselves under attack - never mind that it proved true in this case.)

Can you shout now?

Yes I have no idea what I'm shouting exactly... but I do shout, using Z.

I also fought a guy who shouted at me and I learned a word of power there too, but I'm not sure it was actually a different one. The game didn't make any fuss about trying it out, back then...

Oh.
And it does seem I only learned one shout. But maybe I couldn't use it when I first learned it because I had no... er... dragon soul stuff... ?

Anyway, I have stuff to sell, the huntsman's tavern have hardly any coins left and won't buy all the items available (especially misc stuff) and it's night-time again, and the inn only has two beds, both of which are taken. And I think Lydia is judging me.

She's sworn to carry your burdens.

How much can she carry?
I don't have enough for that Whiterun house yet, so I can't really just drop stuff off anywhere (I could leave it in random chests but I'd forget where I left it - and something I put in one of the jarl's chests was red when I went to take it back.... )

Edit: It also turned out the shops around the market were open, but I entered just at closing time and was brusquely asked to leave again. And instead of selling anything I accidentally picked up a new quest, too. Oops

Not sure exactly but it's probably similar to your own carry weight early in the game.
Some places are  safe containers  but I never risked my precious loot in them.
In the first few weeks of the game I took over Cracked Tusk Keep with that Orc fellow whose body never disappeared and dumped my stuff there.

PS. Don't go searching too much on those sites that I linked to. I ended up spoiling three stories doing that kind of thing over the years and I'm still annoyed with myself.

Well I haven't found a keep or anything like it, to hole up... And I just died, too. I have to learn to use that quicksave more often....

Edit: aw drat, I'm all the way back in Riverwood. (I'm trying to find my way to the grey beards or whatsits but some soldiery but shady fellows blocked my path...)
