Meanwhile, there's a storm. And when I was away on that other island there was a storm. And I figured that would at least water the plants on my home island but.... nooooo.... They were all dried and died. And only two bore fruit before dying so now I'm like back to zero. Well, it could have been worse. I could have had nothing at all to plant... *sigh*

Apparently the storms are only where I am. Will try to remember that....

Maybe you planted a storm by accident.

Maybe it was one of those dry sandstorms that keep killing me in Mad Max.

Maybe. But it sure wasn't dry on the island I was on at the time...

Last night I had a quick, late-night session on Hunter: Call Of The Wild, which is this week's Epic Freebie, and the landscapes are very lovely indeed....

 

And as you know, I do like a game that lets you freely wander around a nice looking world.
Yes, walking is easy.
But hunting... is not.

Spent many minutes trying to follow tracks and poop. Yes, poop. Fresh poop too!

 

According to the tracks the animal I was following was initially a whitetail deer, but I quickly ended up following a bear.
Then there was apparently a coyote, a rabbit and finally a blacktail deer. I was only trying to follow one thing.
I did manage to hit one of the deer things but it escaped leaving a trail of blood that I failed to follow. The shooty bits are a little more challenging than the friendly, forgiving aiming that you find in other games.
In the end I failed to even complete the tutorial.
But I think I will go back to roam those landscapes again.

And once again my plants died. Well, half of them. They were fully watered when I left, should last for 4 days without rain, I was gone three days and it was raining every single day

Apparently it's better to make farm plots of corrugated steel instead of wood. It's such an ugly material though
