I keep getting black somewhat flashing squares across my screen when I play No Man's Sky. Not sure if it's a graphics, memory or over heated sort of thing? I remember getting white squares in another game a long long time ago in a galaxy far away....

And I did google but apparently most people have a problem with a black screen when trying to start the game. Mine appear after a while and flicker on and off....

Don't have much experience of graphics card problems.
The first issue I always have to deal with in games is a shocking drop in framerate. But I vaguely remember getting a scary blue screen thing when using a particularly detailed model in Daz Studio.
Never again.

I can see a few black or white square references on google and they do seem to suggest either overheating or driver issues.

NOW I'm having a small pop up telling me I should get the newest driver...

And I do try to keep things updated, only Nvidia insist on me logging in, every time so... I get annoyed with them and close their popups...

I've never had to log in to anything, I just go to the site download the latest driver and install it.

It's probably only when one uses their "app" - I know I've managed without logging in too. Actually I think there is usually a link to install anyway, without the login, but I'm not sure. I don't like when they confuse me. And it seems it's all Ansel's fault. Dang that Ansel guy whoever he is!

thanks but I already downloaded, installed and started playing again
no flickeriing but it seems to "catch" or do small momentarily freezes more often than before. And also I thought it was nice to have landed on a planet that didnt try to kill me for once and.... firestorm. *sigh* I need to get aroud to building a proper base but I can't find any planets I like... Most are either freezing or scorched and there seem to be sentinels everywhere...

EDIT: and when the firestorm cleared, temps dropped to 60 below!
