Well, that was better than the Netflix trailer... But.... If Resident Evil starts off with some sort of lab experiment gone wrong, why are they suddenly going all Tim Burton ghost story?

Well, it's like this, there are 7 other games worth of story over the past 20 some odd years before this game. Stuff happened and things occurred. And I haven't played RE7 which I believe reinvented the series somewhat.

My research suggested that eggs have a red glow if they're fertilized.
I have no experience or evidence to confirm this.

And I think my leafy outfit is quite sneaky when I'm in a leafy place. Doesn't quite work at the sandy beach though.

well, I never really noticed. Maybe they looked a little... warm? It's fairly discreet, but the eggs won't stack with the ordinary non fertilised ones. (And when you hover over them, it does say fertilised as well).

Not even the one where someone is cut into little pieces by laser beams?
I think I might never have watched the first one - I'm not sure, but I have a fairly poor idea of what the heck the background story is... All I know is Milla keeps running and fighting and surviving. Somehow.

Milla running and fighting sound familiar... but she does do that in all her films.
Perhaps I tried to watch and fell asleep again.

I'm a bit annoyed that I can't find any Raptors around now. When the alpha was there several of them were skulking around but now that it's dead and I'm free to tame one they've all gone away.
I flapped all around the cove looking for one but the only thing that caught my eye was one of those Therizini thingies that I can't even spell.
I've read that they're pretty dangerous despite being herbivores so I stayed well away.

As I said, I should really give Ark a rest and play something else this week.

Anyway... My Dodos were all flashing hearts above their heads, which is a good sign but they kept wandering away from each other so I made a special Love Nest inside the pen to trap them together.
And as Palpatine said to Anakin in Star Wars... "Dew it!"



... and sure enough an egg ensued!
Life ...uh... finds a way.
I put it next to my furnace for incubation... (and it did glow red until I picked it up and moved it.)



...and after a bit of a nervous wait. Doody arrived!



I have imprinted and now it apparently wants care in about an hour or so. Whatever that means.
As long as it doesn't want kibble.

Also I may need to put a roof on my shack now cos one of the Brontos has started to encroach a bit. Haven't they heard of privacy?

You know, a roof protects against weather as well....

and yes I remember that wanting care. Every time I looked it seemed to be in about 1.5 minutes. And the first ones quickly died. I can't recall if they needed feed or what it was all about....
