There's a difference between eggs and fertilized eggs?
Well that has saved me a lot of time trying to hatch one during my next session.

I've been reading up on the hatching process and the temperature range thing sounds a bit fiddly. I don't really have the resources for electric things like the Air Conditioner so it'll have to be torches and fires.

I hatched my dodos in a small thatch hut with a torch. I'm not sure you even need four walls - but I DID have a roof....

Still no roof but my walls are a bit higher now. I used those extra bits of thatch that didn't work for the dodo pen rather than waste them.

I may try and have a break from Ark and try to play something else this week. I seem to have been at it every day recently. It's increasingly addictive when you have a guaranteed safe place with decent resources. Or I may fast travel back to my old base to see how my Parasaurs are getting on.

you just left your parasaurs to fend for themselves??? Do you think they're still there?

They're not even set to wander so I [strike]expect[/strike] hope they'll be in exactly the same spot I left them.


If I was playing on a multiplayer server I'd imagine they'd be dead/gone/stolen but I "think" they're safe in a local single player game?

But I may be wrong.

as long as they didn't starve or got eaten by a t-rex...

They'll be perfectly safe while I'm away and then I bet all those predators will suddenly spawn when I arrive without any weapons or gear.

and what is that green leaf thing you're wearing? a skin, or actual armour?

It's the Ghille chestpiece armour. I got it from a supply drop and it's better than my normal armour and apparently has some camoflage ability too to let you be sneaky without being seen. The supply drop on the little island is a pretty good one and has given me quite a few treats including this, the GPS and several saddles too.

I may have an egg but it's not a glowy, red egg.
I also tried to clear out those ants last night but I couldn't find them to kill them. Maybe they couldn't see me in my camoflage.
