Did you know that the garden gnomes that you can buy are not little sculptures? They're actually eggs! And when they hatch a creepy little red-eyed gnome pops out!
Little known fact but true.
Just look at the evidence.
Sculpty Gnomes.
Grounded Gnome.
Grassy Gnome.
Painted Gnome.
EDIT: Spotted a mistake!
Corrected it.

I agree with Banj. And have to add I never saw the creepy little guy coming. Which is probably the point: I suspect their parasitic, infecting people working at garden centers (and occasionally little old grannies) to make them spread the eggs by selling them. Or in the case of grannies, gifting them to children, grand children and all their neighbours.
Can't really complain any about Banj's gnome either. I love the more "natural creature" look as well as the dappled light. And look at the poor fish, it has no idea what just happened. And yes, the feathers - together with the slight difference in colour, does help to separate the arm and leg nicely

And I "vote" Banj.
I loved the design from the start and enjoyed seeing the washes of colour build with each wip but that dappled light was still an impressive surprise at the end and really enhances the forms of the figure and surroundings.
I shall watch the video later.
